Getting the look and feel one wants for their condo is a simple process at the Mark 101 at Sage Hill.
Most condo developments offer a few palettes, each focused on a specific interior design theme, to pick from.
But what happens when the condo buyer is a fan of the selections in one palette, but wants to incorporate something from another?

In many cases, this is not an option.
At the Mark 101, things are different. Buyers have the flexibility to set an interior design that suits their tastes.
This stylish development by Shane Multi-Family is located in northwest Calgary’s amenity-rich Symons Valley corridor.
“We are giving people a little bit of a different sections process than before, which is pretty exciting,” says Tricha Hamstra, interior designer for Shane Multi-Family, on a change the builder made for the Mark 101’s third and final phase.

“We created four inspiration palettes that people can choose from,” she adds. “But what’s neat is you can interchange them.
“If you like the cabinet colours from one of the palettes and the flooring from another, you can interchange them. It’s a bit more custom than it was before.”
Each palette includes tile, flooring, cabinets, countertops, paint colour, among other features.
“We made sure no matter what combination you’re choosing, everything is still going to look good,” says Hamstra.

The inspiration palettes include two featuring lighter tones and two with darker tones. These are on display at the Mark 101 sales centre.
“We have standards and upgrades within that, too,” Hamstra says. “That’s nice because if people like something from the light standard package, the cabinets (for example), but really like the flooring from the upgraded light package, they can still pair them.
“It gives them a lot of flexibility with their budget,” she adds. “They can upgrade only what they want or upgrade all of it.

Maybe it’s a rental for someone, maybe they’re downsizing — they can customize their budget based on where they are in their lives.”
The Mark 101 has attracted several demographics, making it important to provide a range of choices.
“Someone who wants something a bit more modern, they can pick a slab cabinet, and if someone wants something warmer and more transitional, they have options, too,” says Hamstra.

Condos offered at this award-winning development include one-bedroom, one bedroom plus den, and two-bedroom orientations. Prices start from the mid-$100,000s.
