Delicious meals, family-friendly activities, and some huge giveaways were available to the public all afternoon. Over 500 people enjoyed a variety of tasty meals, drinks and treats in the sun from the amazing vendors on site. Food trucks Bento Burrito, Wilk’s Booth, and Family Freezed were on site to keep appetites satisfied while Tim Hortons was also at the event offering warm coffee and cookies. There was something for everyone to enjoy at the festival. Mom and Dad could take in the gorgeous Midtown Promenade over a coffee while their kids enjoyed a tasty ‘Smile Cookie’ from Tim Hortons!
Visitors and residents alike got the opportunity to explore Midtown and all 15 of the beautiful showhomes in the community from Shane, Excel and Trico Homes. Butterfield Acres was also at the event; providing a wide array of adorable baby farm animals for families to interact and visit with including goats, bunnies, pigs,sheep, and baby chicks. Creative Crossings had a fun photo booth set up for families to commemorate their day together with a silly family photo. Live remote radio broadcasts from 98.5 Virgin Radio and Air 106.1 in Airdrie added a special flair to the festival, enjoyed by all.
The warm day made it easy for everyone to enjoy the sights and sounds of Midtown. Festival goers could lounge around in the community greenspace, and kids at the festival had a blast on the bouncy castle and tot lot community park. The sunshine and mild temperatures allowed visitors to enjoy every aspect of the walkable, outdoor amenity rich community. Attendees took the day to walk their dog, stroll along the many community pathways, or just sit and visit with family and friends in the newly finished promenade with plentiful benches and greenery. The festival was also a delightful treat for homeowners in Midtown as they could walk out their front door and join in the festivities.
Community support always helps the success of these events. For the Midtown Fall Festival, local community vendors from the Midtown Plaza shopping centre were on site with a variety of free giveaways to l patrons as well as draws for larger prizes. Royop contributed to the exciting day with a draw for a $500 Costco gift card and we were thrilled to offer a draw for a $500 gift card to Cross Iron Mills mall!
