When it comes to feeling comfortable in your home, your local community can have a big impact. Having a variety of nearby amenities not only makes your day-to-day life easier, but it also allows you to explore your community so that you feel safe and comfortable in it.

That’s why we love the Sage Hill community here in Calgary’s North West. Let’s take a look at some of the amenities that we’re lucky to be surrounded by!

Outdoor

The Mark 101 is neighboured by parks, green spaces, and usable pathways to keep you active all year long. Nose Hill Park is right down Shaganappi trail from the Mark 101! Drive or cycle to enjoy an afternoon picnic in this major Calgary green space!

If you’re looking for another reason to get outside during the warm summer months, then we’re happy to say that you can access quite a few amenities either on foot or by cycling. Starbucks is less than a 20-minute walk from your front door, while Mcdonald’s is a mere 10 minutes! If you’re looking for a more European lifestyle, trek the six minutes to Walmart and pick up your groceries on foot! Or head over to COBS Bread Bakery in less time than it takes for you to figure out what you want to order!

In addition to this, you can enjoy the variety of playgrounds that we have located close to the Mark 101.

Grocery

When it comes to grocery shopping, Sage Hill is home to both big box staple stores such as WalMart, Co-op, Safeway, and Sobeys in addition to seasonal Farmers’ Markets!  In fact, just 15 minutes down Beddington Trail will bring you to The Grassroots Deerfoot Farmers’ Market. Oh, and did we mention that Costco is a mere 10 minutes down the road? It’s so close that you can stop by for samples any time of day!

Shopping

No matter where you live, you need the occasional retail therapy. Sage Hill has many nearby shopping centres that will delight even the most hard-core shopper. From the Gates of Nolan Hill, less than five minutes by car, to your favourite bargain shops like Miniso, Winners, and more! Plus, keep an eye out for smaller boutique stores and pop-up stores that are common throughout the city. You never know when you will stumble on your next favourite shop!

If thrifting is more your speed, then you’ll be pleased to know there are two thrift stores within walking distance from The Mark 101! Scoop up the latest and greatest finds before anyone else has the chance to!

Restaurants

We know how important a good meal is, that’s why we’re thrilled to mention the delicious food that can be found here in Sage Hill. Just about every type of food you can imagine can be found nearby, including Freshii, Mucho Burrito, Jerusalem Shawarma, and more!

Plus, if you don’t feel like leaving your house, you can get SkiptheDishes delivered right to your door. Easy Peasy.
