Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, possess good time management skills, be hands-on in the field and take initiative to get the job done. They will go above and beyond for customers to achieve great customer service. They work great independently and in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities (not limited to):
  • Assist assigned customers with their exterior, cabinet and interior selections. This includes booking appointments and meeting with customers, which includes working occasional evenings.
  • Price exterior, cabinet and interior upgrades for customers. This includes estimating during appointments and creating change orders with pricing.
  • Showhome decorating as assigned. This includes designing the cabinets, selecting the interior palette, as well as, selecting and ordering furniture.
  • Coordinating deliveries and organizing movers to complete show homes.
  • This position requires occasional lifting of items approximately 25lbs.
  • Trade and supplier interaction. This includes product knowledge.
  • Work in rotation with other designers on Sundays for customer browsing days.
  • Office and administrative tasks as assigned. This includes scheduling the customer appointments and completing the necessary paperwork to follow a file from start to finish through our department.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Diploma/Degree in Interior Design from a recognized institute with a minimum of 6+ years builder experience
  • Previous experience as an Interior Designer in the home building industry is an asset
  • Construction knowledge
  • Cabinet design and pricing experience
  • Estimating experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good organizational skills
  • Time management and ability to prioritize workload
  • Superior customer relations skills
  • Computer skills
