Marketing and Event Coordinator

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be a well-organized, detail orientated and an enthusiastic team player who can handle a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment.  This is an excellent opportunity to work with our marketing department in a small team environment, as well as work closely with our sales, customer service departments and vendors and be very hands on in the execution of various marketing initiatives.

Education and Qualifications
  • Certificate in marketing and/or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in marketing and/or related field.
  • Marketing experience in the homebuilding industry is an asset.
  • Prior event planning experience is preferred.


Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Outlook skills and web based tools.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles and excellent copywriting skills with the ability to rework content for a wider audience.
  • Should be able to deliver creative and innovative thoughts.
  • Excellent communications skills that comprise of written, verbal and presentation capabilities.
  • Strong team-work focus with initiative, a strong work ethic and a flexible attitude with the ability to work independently as well as in a small team environment.
  • Must be available to attend company and community events as required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of administrative and marketing support duties related to the daily operations of the marketing department.
  • Coordinate production and maintain inventory levels for a wide range of marketing materials.
  • Coordinate the set up and dismantling of showhome sales centres.
  • Coordinate the production, implementation and tracking of promotional items.
  •  Execute a wide variety of details that involve direct mail, email campaigns, marketing events, public relations, customer communications, media advertisements, promotions, and other marketing plans.
  •  Provide performance analysis reports of showhome traffic and leads.
  •  Works directly with vendors to ensure project direction, budget and deliverables are followed with an end result meeting quality standards.
  • Coordinate a wide portfolio of events and provide support for the day of execution.
  • Execute all event tasks including but not limited to, the preparation of event briefs and budgets, coordination of internal & external communications and organization of marketing materials.
  • Schedule and Coordinate monthly customer orientation sessions.
  • Coordinate semi-annual employee service awards.
  • Aid with special projects throughout the company as required.
