Perhaps the best known contribution of the Foundation to date is the Bob Ward Residence. This 61 unit facility, built in partnership with The Calgary Homeless Foundation and Horizon Housing, opened in October 2003 to provide much needed housing for individuals with mental illness, brain injuries and other special needs.
The Calgary Home Builders Foundation adds to their legacy of providing safe and supportive housing by joining the Bob Ward project partners for their newest project, The Inglewood Residence. The Foundation has committed $1 million in cash along with further donations of materials and services. The Foundation will also oversee the construction of the 114 unit facility.
